As an expat with limited language skills in Spanish, I'll say that the care I received here was unmatched. When my Spanish failed me, the staff at HM would rapidly call in a translator. It was never an issue or inconvenience for the busy staff. I was treated with more humanity and dignity at HM than most of my healthcare experiences in the US.
Excellent experience from start to finish. At the entrance a porter at reception asked what I was there for. I said I wanted to be checked out for pain in my leg. He asked about my insurance, I said USA. He took me to an International Department. The department immediately got me situated and I was in Emergency within 10 minutes of arrival. I was seen immediately after ER check in. I was inspected by a doctor who did my assessment and sent me to get blood work and ultrasound. Again seen within 5 minutes. The longest wait was waiting for the results. Total time 2 hours start to finish with my medication in hand and payment complete. Awesome!!
